Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers' Contest 2012, launched by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, is being held at the Grand Hall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 17 January 2012. Leung Ka Kin Kenax, our alumna, won Champion in the “Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers' Contest 2012 Casual and Jeans-wear Group”. Kenax received a cash prize of HK$ 10,000 and a sponsorship of HK$ 30,000 for visiting fashion fair overseas.
The organiser invited world renowned fashion designer Mr Atsuro Tayama as VIP Judge and The Hon. Mr Vincent Fang, Chairman of the HKTDC Garment Advisory Committee as Chief Judge. Professor Au Wai Man, our School Manager, Ms Camille Wang, our teacher-in-charge of Fashion Design and Art and current fashion students participated in the contest to support and share the happiness of Kenax.
Kenax is now studying Master of Arts in Fashion and Textile Design programme at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His potentials in fashion design began in LTFC and he participated in our school Annual Fashion Show every year. After his graduation, he has consistently joined our Fashion Shows as an invited designer.
