Festivals
Activities are organized for every festival to involve students in English learning experience and to create an English learning environment.

  • Halloween
    • Halloween Fair
      Besides the Halloween Drama Competition, a Halloween Fair is held in the playground with booths for games, fortune-telling and traditional games like 'apple-bobbing'.




  • Christmas
    • Christmas Tree Design Competition
      A Christmas Tree Design Competition was held in December 2008 and the winning class S3B created a wonderful specimen which displayed class spirit and cooperation. Each person's Christmas wish was enclosed in a transparent ball and each person was represented with a figure atop the tree – a truly marvelous design.

  • Christmas Caroling
    Christmas caroling was done in the Star Luck Café during the week before Christmas holidays in 2007.
  • Chinese New Year
    • English Games Booth
      An English games booth is set up for the annual Chinese New Year Fair. There is fortune-telling, vocabulary games and translation of New Year wishes.


  • Valentine's Day
    • Valentine Card design competition
      For 2009 Valentine's Day, all students were asked to design Valentine Cards for their loved ones and the card for their parents were given to their parents during Parents' Day. It was a very meaningful gesture that was much appreciated by the parents.

    • DIY chocolate hearts
      For two consecutive years, students made their own chocolate hearts to be given to the ones they loved. It was a messy business but a very meaningful one.

  • Easter
    • Easter egg hunt
      An Easter egg hunt was organized before Easter and classes sent teams to the hall where there was a mad run for cues around school. It was exhausting but a very exciting race against time. S4ES carried away the laurels for finishing the race in the shortest time and the team collected their Easter chocolate bunnies. Winners of the other classes received big chocolate eggs. All agreed it was fun.

  • Mother's Day
    • DIY chocolate hearts for mom
      Again chocolate hearts were made for mothers during lunch break.
