There are always ups and downs in our life. “Keep on laughing” is my life attitude. In my painting, I used my friends’ and my brother’s smiley face to represent happiness is everywhere.

Claimed as fresh sexy icons, “teen model stars” are arousing a new fad in Hong Kong. Though they do not have the elegance and height as professional models do, they boast hot body shape, especially big breasts, and even roared their way into Book Fair with sexy photo albums. Here comes a question: Can the photo albums be considered as “books”? Hongkongers are fond of the discussion, and have made it a household talk. By this painting, I want to present some ponder over our popular interest in such a particular controversial issue.

By picking “90’” as my painting theme, I mean to express some personal view and feelings of a 90’ towards 90’s. As presented in the painting, a girl, with a typical look of “born-happy-go-lucky”, is giggling under the sky full of flying ingots of gold….

In terms of color and framework, I referred to Mr. Yue Minjun. Through data collection and painting skill study, I tried to grasp his unique creative style and overwhelming feeling expressions.

The inspiration of this series is taken from “spiral staircase”, and I theme it as “Embrace Dreams”, that is, on the way towards our dreams, we, the youth generation, should be determined and down-to-earth, striving painstakingly with brave but steady steps.

Every ornament in “Wing Lee Street” has shown the elegance and memories of Hong Kong in the past few decades. It is a pretty place that has to be conserved. However, someone treated the issue of conservation as a political game...

Are the teenagers in the 90’s too self-centered that they think they are neglected? Or because they do not really understand themselves.
