A Dialogue between Space and Earth: "Tiangong Class" Delivered by the Shenzhou-23 Crew

On September 9, our students had the honour to attend the live broadcast of the "Tiangong Class" delivered by Hong Kong's first astronaut Dr. Li Jiaying and her fellow astronauts Zhu Yangzhu and Zhang Zhiyuan.

This marvellous space-to-earth lecture allowed students to know more about what life is like aboard a spacecraft. They were given glimpses of the way food is prepared, the exercises to be done, the areas for sleeping, the experiments that are carried out.

It was especially inspiring for students to listen to Dr. Li's sharing on how she came to be an astronaut. By explaining how she overcame her difficulties in a career change, familial duties, and gruelling training programmes, she taught students to face their challenges head on courageously.

We are truly thankful for the opportunity to attend this lesson delivered by Dr. Li and her crewmates 400 kilometres away. It leaves our students feeling hopeful about what they can achieve next, encouraging them to try their best in everything they do.
