Renowned Fashion Design Educator Professor Raymond Au, our IMC Member, Surprises Elite Students During Easter Workshop

In an exciting twist during the Easter holiday, esteemed fashion design educator Professor Raymond Au made a surprise visit to our school's tutorial workshop on 15th April, leaving students in awe as they diligently worked on their Fashion Show and SBA (School-Based Assessment) projects. The unannounced appearance, arranged by Ms. Camille Wang, aimed to motivate and inspire our elite design students, who have been immersed in intensive preparations for their upcoming projects. The visit proved an unforgettable inspiration for our dedicated young designers.

Professor Raymond Au, known for his expertise in nurturing young talent, spent the afternoon sharing invaluable insights with our students. He delved into his experiences guiding aspiring designers, offering practical advice on university entrance interviews, portfolio development, and the realities of studying fashion design at a tertiary level. Emphasising creativity and resilience, he encouraged students to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. "The fashion industry thrives on originality and perseverance," he remarked. "Your dedication now—whether stitching a garment or refining a concept—will shape your future. Never underestimate the power of passion paired with hard work."
The workshop buzzed with energy as students seized the chance to ask questions about career pathways, sustainable design trends, and balancing artistic vision with commercial demands.

As the Easter workshop concluded, students returned to their sewing machines and sketchpads with renewed vigour, inspired by a mentor's belief in their potential. The school is grateful to Professor Raymond Au for his heartfelt support and looks forward to witnessing how his advice shapes the future collections of our budding designers.

Stay tuned for updates on our Fashion Show, where students will unveil their hard work this term!
