Lam Tai Fai College

15th Anniversary Ceremony cum Chinese Culture Centre Opening Ceremony

13 December this year is particularly special for Lam Tai Fai College. On that day, honourable guests, the Supervisor, members of the School Incorporated Management Committee, teachers, parents and students gathered together on this jubilant occasion.

The ceremony was kicked off with a speech by the Supervisor Dr Lam Tai Fai, who successfully founded the school and developed it into a distinguished institute with countless talents. During the ceremony, teachers, alumni and students looked back the precious time in the past. One of our teachers, Ms Ng Siu Man, together with the parent representative Ms To Wai Kwan, our alumni Mr Nicholas Choi, a famous fencer who used to represent Hong Kong, and two students, Ms Chan Yuen Ying and Ms Wong Pak Hin, talked about their memories shared at Lam Tai Fai College. Mr Choi, as an athlete, also stressed on how the partnership programme between Hong Kong Sports Institute and the school had nurtured him from a budding athlete to a recognised athlete internationally.

While we were reminiscing about the time in the past, we also looked ahead to the future. To officiate the Chinese Culture Centre, it was our great pleasure to have Honour, Dr Louis Ng, Museum Director of the Hong Kong Palace Museum, to give a speech at the ceremony. In his words, he recognised the importance of preserving Chinese traditional cultures and passing on such treasured knowledge and values to the next generation.
